LONDON HOSTED THE NURSING & MIDWIFERY REVALIDATION SUMMIT 2016
On Saturday 6 February 2016, the city of London hosted the Nursing & Midwifery Revalidation Summit 2016 at the Holiday Inn Stratford City.
According to the convener of the summit, Dr Abbey Akinoshun, “the aim of the revalidation summit was to assist the nurses and midwives in familiarising themselves with the revalidation requirements and relevant tools. It is also to guide them in demonstrating that they have met them, in other words to demystify the revalidation process”.
Some of the carefully selected REPUTABLE and HIGH PROFILE SPEAKERS at the summit were; Kate Pilkington, CEO of Nursing Matters; Dayo Olomu, a UK leading Human Potential Development Strategist who is also the Vice Chairman of Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) South London Branch; Sarah Macauley, a top midwife; Theophilus Bello, RMN Assistant Clinical Director, BEH Mental Health NHS Trust and Tunji Adeyemi, RN Service Manager, Kent & Medway NHS SC&P Trust.
There is no exception to over 600,000 nurses and midwives on the NMC register. Every nurse or midwife will need to provide evidence that they have met the standards to their manager or confirmer otherwise they would not be able to continue practising.
